TEC Cooled Tiger's silicon photomultiplier detector (Tiger-SiPM-C) is an innovative solid-state silicon detector with single photon sensitivity. It is highly integrated, and ready to use when connected to a computer via USB or RS-232. Users do not need to do secondary software or hardware development. It comes with driver for easy integration with other software and hardware. Silicon photomultipliers are effective substitutes for photomultiplier tubes. The main advantages of this detector are its high gain characteristics, ultrahigh dynamic range, excellent response speed, low operating voltage and small size. It also has the characteristics of insensitivity to magnetic fields and high integration. Its high temperature stability of which the fluctuation is less than 0.05 0C, solves the problem of signal instability caused by the change of gain due to temperature fluctuations of general low-light sensors such as PMT or APD. Typical application areas include high-energy physics, medical imaging, quantum optics, nuclear medicine, biophotonics and science, homeland security and analytical instruments.
